Northcentral Region

The North Central Region is rich in historical sites and cultural traditions. It covers the central part of Northern Bulgaria and includes the districts of Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Razgrad, Ruse and Silistra. It borders Romania to the north and the Eastern Balkan Mountains to the south.

The region has developed land and river connections, including ports of national and international importance.
