Northeastern Region

It occupies the northeastern part of Bulgaria and includes parts of the Danube Plain, Dobrudzha, the Eastern Forebalkan and Eastern Stara Planina. The region covers the districts of Varna, Dobrich, Targovishte and Shumen, has access to the Black Sea with 51% of the beaches in the country.

The region has a well-developed transport infrastructure, including highways, railways, airports and ports of national and international importance.
